Top 10 diet myths

There are thousands of diet solutions targeting people who want to lose weight quickly – truth is, they seem really promising, but should we believe them all?
Let’s bust some myths and reveal the truth:

Myth No 1: You should not combine carbohydrates and proteins in a meal.

The truth: This belief is urban legend.

The explanation: It was very popular during the last decade, but now we know that the digestion of these nutrients takes place in different areas of the alimentary canal, so the absorption is easy. Not only shouldn’t you avoid combining carbohydrates and proteins, but you should try to put them together on your plate. They are necessary for the nutrition of your body.
Myth No 2: There are special diets that will help you lose weight and inches off particular parts of your body.

The truth: There is no such diet.

The explanation: For each person, the fat seems to insist on particular areas; but once you start losing weight, you will lose fat from every part of your body. You will lose all the necessary pounds entirely and on a level – only then will you start losing inches from the area you have a bigger “problem” with.
Myth No 3: The later you eat, the fatter you will get.

The truth: There is no connection between calories and time.

The explanation: This belief is really strong. On the one hand, you should avoid eating just before you go to sleep in order to improve the quality of your sleep and to not have gastrointestinal problems. But eating at 8pm or 9pm has no affect on your silhouette. Every person must ingest the appropriate amount of calories every day. It doesn’t really matter when you will intake those calories or how many times you will eat. The best you can do for your metabolism is to eat light meals, several times during the day.
Myth No 4: The less you eat, the thinner you will be.

The truth: Feeling hungry is NOT good.

The explanation: If you start cutting too many calories, the only thing you will achieve is to ruin your diet. If you eat less than you should, you will eventually decrease your metabolism, you will start losing muscle mass and you will start feeling dizzy and hunger-deprived in no time. Soon, you will be disappointed by your diet and after you drop it, you will be hunted by the desire for eating even more than before. In order to avoid these health and psychological problems, you should know how many calories you should consume.
Myth No 5: The stomach can shrink.

The truth: This is the excuse for those who have replaced food with liquids. But stomach shrinkage is a total myth.

The explanation: You can’t shrink your stomach by replacing meals with liquids. The stomach is a muscle, and it does not shrink. As every other muscle in your body, it expands when you ea;, that’s why your belly seems a bit bigger after a meal. But, as soon as you digest food, it will return to its normal size again. Thin people do not have a smaller stomach. They are just used to eating less.

Before I started my first Master Cleanse, I wanted to read all that I could get my hands on. I did read Stanley Burroughs book which is what inspired me to cleanse. But reading about it and thinking about doing it is a lot different than actually doing it!!! As my start date was fast approaching, I was getting nervous and felt like I needed all the support I could get. I heard about Peter Glickman's book and I got it. Boy, am I ever glad I did. Not only was it full of the information I needed to start the cleanse, I mostly valued all the support by way of input of many people who have done the cleanse themselves. It's not just about Peter Glickman's experience, but the experience of many, many people. I kept it by my bedside every night while doing the cleanse and it continuously kept me inspired and motivated. I will be beginning my second cleanse in a couple of weeks and I will pull that book off the shelf and keep my nose in it for the duration of the cleanse. Thank you Peter Glickman for helping so many of us by providing us this user's manual!!!

Mostly, eating allergic food and taking an overdose of food also causes bloating. Some people are allergic to diary products like milk etc. This condition is also known as lactose intolerance. People suffering from lactose intolerance will also create bloating in their abdomen. Women who are experiencing their menstrual cycle or who has the problem of ovarian cysts are also likely to suffer from bloating. Take tiny walks or do some exercise to get rid of the bloating during those days. If you are looking for immediate relief from bloating you also use a pill of Phazyme. Pills made of activated charcoal also work effectively in reducing the gas and diminishing the bloating. People who are using other medicines or birth control pills should refrain from using activated charcoal pills for it might cause some side-effects. Activated charcoal pills are not supposed to be taken continuously for longer period of time.

Avoid foods that cause bloating to you. Not all the foods will be taken in the same way by everybody's digestive method. Some people might find that they are allergic to few foods whereas the others might eat them more.

you could add the cleanse/detox to your part three. medically, your body is just fine and doesn't need a detox. No studies done have ever shown a detox does anything that eating healthy doesn't do.
