The Search

Yo, all of you asdf’ers! My name is Bleem and I’m a starving musician and poet! Even if you read my prose, I’ll still starve but I promise to die with a smile on my face…:-) Here is my first contribution ever on the web, called “The Search”. I hope you enjoy it and if you’d like, let me know
what you think it is about (the answer may surprise you…)

The SearchTHE SEARCH (Part 1)

Awake, my love; hark!
Can you hear it?
Soundless as the otic temblors of doom
Our destiny awaits; awake, I say!

The torn gown is garishly glistening in the dew of dawn
The eyes brown still, elusive, darker, ebony
And yet
At peace with the sunrise of acceptance

More I cannot say; what more can I say?
The Foundling Crouch has been exposed in the Light
And the Canker Worm has been quenched at last, it’s insatiable thirst
Drowned in the New Day

Make haste my love; take my hand! The hour has come
To meet the Nebulous Nemesis
Only to find
A mirror
The Search (Part 2)
I long for your ageless beauty
Your spirit makes me spring in the soft light
Of your love.
You are my dream; mine alone

Let me not awake, I cannot bear
To lose you now!
Ephemeral being, your beams are a beacon of
My last hope

The realm of reality parts as a torn curtain
I see only you in the night watches, beckoning
Stay with me forever for I need to know if
You are really me

Nice poem. What exactly is it about?

I think it’s about a reflection. Or narcissism or something.

It really reminds me of a bird looking in the mirror.

    • Bleem says:

      Thanks, John! It’s about…time I explained, lol!

So, I thought I would do just that further down…

      (I like your ideas, though…)))

  4. Cherry says:

    hmm,what is this poem about?
i think it may be about the ghosts of the past; about people you loved once but still you can’t forget them…

    • Bleem says:

Thanks for your comment Cherry…and, good interpretation as well!

To me, it’s about my search for the Spirit of God within; as (at first) an elusive love, although ever waiting, wanting, to be at one with my very being. As I believe to be the case with each and every one of us! If you have the time to check out “Song Of Songs” in the Bible some day, you will discover some of the most beautiful romantic prose ever penned…by the most awesome author of all, God Himself!)))
