Inside the Mind of a Married Woman

the mind of a married woman

If you think that married women only think about the next thing they will cook for breakfast and how to iron their husband’s suit, think again.  Married women these days are not as doting as they used to be.  Sure, we would love to be a Martha Stewart perfect homemaker, but we do have our career and social life to balance as well.

I have been married to a wonderful man for seven years. I was a devoted wife and mother four years ago but my college education had created a need for me to strive to be much more than just a housewife.

Going au naturel

going au naturelI have always wondered why so many women hide underneath their tons of makeup.  Most of them are actually not bad looking (ex. Lady Gaga).  So why not go au naturel instead?
Wouldn’t it be good to feel someone’s kiss on your cheeks without having to retouch after leaving their lip mark on your heavily made up face?
For those pretty women out there, here are some natural and healthy beauty tips I’ve gathered for you to go bare.

For beautiful youthful eyes:

Remove dark eye shadows and concealers.  Look in the mirror and study your eyes.  Does it look puffy? Are the dark circles darker than usual?
Here’s what to do: sleep for about 8 hours.  Relax your eyes using cucumber slices.  The cool slice could soothe tired eyes.

Getting back with your ex is a very tricky thing!

getting back with your ex ia a very tricky thingGetting back with your ex is a very tricky thing.  First, you have to determine if he still has feelings for you.  Look at his eyes and check the sparkle.  The eyes show everything.  If it’s not there, try to light the fire again.  But always remember to never throw yourself at him.
Clear your head about whatever fantasies you have about him and just put one thing in mind.  You have to get him to want you back. Being friends with him is an advantage; play it cool.  Be the best laid back chick-friend he could ever have.  If he starts talking about dating other girls, then launch your attack tactic.

My own Cinema El Paradiso

Old cameras

First of all, I have to admit that I am not sure if this is an article about travel in space or travel in time. Yesterday, as I walking in downtown Athens, my eye caught a sign: buy a 10€ movie ticket and watch 3 movies! Although I had been on this street before, I had never noticed that there was a movie theater. I looked up. It was a summer cinema named Palace.

I took a closer look at the posters for the movies on, and I saw that “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” was about to begin. I really wanted to watch Indiana Jones’ comeback and I hadn’t been in a summer cinema for years, so I went in. Now, I am glad that I was in the right place at the right time.

The importance of family

The importance of family

According to our own Asdfing poll, family is the most important part of our lives.

The poll was held in March and the posed question was: Which Part of your Life is most important to you? The voters had to choose between “family”, “love”, “friendship”, “job/career” and “not sure”.

36% of you told us that family is more important than love (which got 29% of the votes) and definitely more important than career (7%) and friendship (7%). A remarkable 21% went for “not sure” and, to tell you the truth, I was expecting it. These questions are like bungee jumping; if you don’t answer them straight away, you may never answer them at all.

The Fabulous Destiny of Amélie Poulain

“Without you, today’s emotions would be the dead skin of yesterday’s.”

“Let’s watch a movie” is a thought that crosses my mind almost every evening. For a person that has watched hundreds of movies, it’s a bit embarrassing to admit that I hadn’t watched Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s Amélie yet. It’s even more embarrassing to confess that I didn’t even know what Amélie was about. All I had heard about that movie was that it was a good one.

Since I hadn’t been exposed to the movie, I tried to follow the first three scenes carefully to get the main idea of the movie. What on earth can between a butterfly, 2 glasses and Amélie’s birth have in common? It’s like telling you that at the time a driver crossed a red light and a couple kissed under a tree in Austria, I started writing this article on my laptop. Does this movie have to do with random events, luck and destiny? Or was it just a director’s trick to get our attention? In any case, it worked.
