After such a long time being alone, you find yourself a boyfriend… you have been dating for a while, and you are happy to have a handsome and smart guy by your side. When you start losing weight because you are not able to eat; when you can’t sleep at nights because you are thinking of him; when you start crying for no apparent reason, you know you are in love. But how do you know he is the One?
You must keep in mind that every guy you fall in love with, is not always the One. And because “love is blind, and lovers cannot see“, here are some signs that warn you that he might not be.
·You prefer to watch “Die Hard Dracula” than sleep with him
In other words, your sex life with him is not that good. He may seem to be perfect, successful and clever, but it doesn’t mean he will also satisfy you in bed. He deserves a second chance for sure; but if things don’t get better, it’s not worth trying. You don’t need any more trouble in your head, especially coming from a guy you just met.
·Your friends start to disappear one at a time
As soon as you introduce the new guy to your friends, they start to keep away from you both. That alone should give you second thoughts. Your friends always know what is best for you, because they love you and they have known you for a long time. Of course, if there is something wrong with the guy you are in love with, they usually won’t tell you right away, because they don’t want to upset you. But they will try to show you that they don’t like him with their behavior.
So, don’t jump to conclusions such as “my friends are jealous of me having a perfect affair”, and don’t make up excuses such as: “they’re giving me time and space to live my love”. Instead, try to talk to them about the reason they have disappeared. They might see the bad character you are not able to see because you are in love. Trust them; they are usually right.
·He is not supportive
When you tell your new boyfriend that you have succeeded in something you have wanted for a long time, you expect him to be happy. For example, if you are waiting for a promotion, and after years of hard work, you finally get it, you don’t expect him to say: “good honey… now does that means that I won’t see you as often?” do you? Better call your best friend and tell her the good news. She is the one who knows all about your effort, and will make you feel like a winner rather than a loser.
·Is he Superman’s cousin?
If the guy you just fell in love with is too weird for you, don’t try to make up excuses that justify his abnormal behavior. He doesn’t have to turn into a superhero at night; he doesn’t have to save the world – if he is weird, he’s just weird. Many times, we are attracted to people with whom we don’t really match. Don’t worry, it’s absolutely normal; just accept it and move on. After all, what’s the point being with a guy you have nothing in common with?
·You say hello and then he says how low?
In other words, he doesn’t understand you. He gets you that new Iron Maiden album for your birthday, and his surprise for your one month anniversary are two tickets to the Lakers. The only problem is that you don’t like heavy metal and you never go to basketball games either… if he doesn’t try to understand you or he just can’t understand you, there’s no chance for you. The point is, that instead of getting to know you, he assumes that you (and maybe everyone in the world) are like him. Don’t bother with him… Keep in mind that the One is the guy who not only understands you, but also speaks your language.
